Playing the Edges in the Lottery

Looking at the 6 number draw lottery I have to change the strategy and start playing the edges. What do I mean about the edges? It’s simple really the more you play the boundaries the less numbers you have to chose from.  For example the high low mix, if  you play the averages you would pick 3 high numbers and 3 low numbers and on average they occur 34.25% of the time but here is the slotting data for the 3 and 3 lottery combo

Not bad there is 17 number blocks with less than 10% chance but only 2 with over 60%. But if you really want to increase your chances of winning the lottery  you need to eliminate more numbers to pick from.

Now let’s look at the edges the 5 high 1 low number combination. This number combination happens only about 7.25% of the time far less but let’s look at the slotting to see how they compare.

In this combination there are 18 blocks of less than 10% that’s one more than the 3/3 split and a whopping 5 slots with over 60% compared to 2 in the 3/3 split. That means you can eliminate more sets and have a better chance of having the right number by playing the extremes than if you played the middle.  The blocks is fairly similar for the 4 small 1 large that also occurs 7% of the time.

I suggest if you play those two combination that occur 14% of the draws you will have a better chance of hitting the right combination than if you were to play all 3/3 splits that come up twice as much but have a larger number spread.
