Let’s start with the similarities, both have stepped Reds on the Left Upper and right Bottom where number generally do not win and you should not play any number in your ticket that is in the red.  Also looking at the 2 charts you can see the patter of green and yellow that act like stairs going up.

Where they are different? In Power Ball they have far more numbers balls and one less slot so the number get jumbled so that probabilities of a slot go down.  For example in the Mega bucks game there is a 70% chance the first number will be between 1 and 10 but in Power Ball it drops to 56%. You also see higher fringe (Brown) probabilities in Power ball making it difficult to eliminate number sets.

So how does Power Ticket use slotting aside from just knowing generally where numbers fall?  The answer is to drill down further by looking at more controlled probabilities and seeing where those numbers slot. For example only getting 1 high number or 4 high numbers occurs 28.8% of the time and that slotting will look a lot different .
We will examine the specific set slotting later next week.
